Climategate:The Religion of Anthropogenic Climate Change Exposed as a hoax

leave a comment »

The inestimable John R. Lott knows about the scientific method, data and how to interpret it, after all he does have a Ph.D.  Today, John laid down the basic framework for discussing such things as global warming:

Science depends on good quality of data. It also relies on replication and sharing data. But the last couple of days have uncovered some shocking revelations…

If you weren’t vacationing in Rwanda, you would know that some hackers brought some rather interesting information to light, continues Dr. Lott:

…Computer hackers have obtained 160 megabytes of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in England. These e-mails, which have now been confirmed as real, involved many researchers across the globe with ideologically similar advocates around the world. They were brazenly discussing the destruction and hiding of data that did not support global warming claims. The academics here also worked closely with the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

So there you have it. Global warming isn’t based on true science, but rather a belief that is reinforced with a priori arguments. While inductive reasoning is used when trying to prove a premise, what if the premise is wrong? Most progress is made with deductive reasoning which deconstructs observation and its data in an effort to find out why. Basically we use reason and logical analysis of the facts. When the data does not support a premise, we move on. In the case of global warming, reason is exchanged for dogma and politics.  What ensues constitutes religion, not science and it is ironic, since these same “scientists” eschew creationism or even intelligent design. I guess it’s all in what you believe, not what you can prove, and if the collective says so, it must be true.

So, while the religion may seem to be global warming, I would contend it really is not. The UN is their church, and their religion is global marxism. Global warming is but one gospel from their play book. What are the other gospels? I can name a few: Socialized medicine, government controlled and regulated businesses, and generically regulating human behavior, to extreme, vis a vis gun control etc. Can you name a few?

Q:Why are Chicagoans Afraid To Come Out Of Their Homes?

leave a comment »

This is a real simple post.

Question: Why are Chicagoans afraid to come out of their homes?

Answer: Because it is the only defense they have.

Chicago, one of the most corrupt cities in the nation, has proven feckless and impotent in protecting it’s citizens. It lets the riff raff run the show, while the police play grab ankles with each other.

Why you ask? I have one supposition, no, make that two, may be, as to why. I am sure that John Lott could give a better account, but here goes.
Chicago, like other cities, has gangs. A lot of gangs in fact. What makes Chicago special is that these gangs are used to motivate and produce the vote, a lot like union thugs. Politicians use “community organizers” to liaise with gangs in order to get the people in a particular district to vote for a particular candidate. It’s the only way corrupt politicians in the 2nd most corrupt city in America can keep their jobs.

When you have such ties to gangs, which are basically organized criminals, it basically both legitimizes them and emboldens them. The politicians would rather sacrifice a few citizens and BS them later, than tackle the the real problems of crime, which is getting rid of criminals while removing their breeding grounds.

The second issues revolves around incorrect thinking. Call it liberalism if you like. Chicago is full of liberals that think all sorts of incorrect thoughts, like citizens are not allowed to protect themselves from criminals, and that criminals have more rights than free citizens. Such is the liberal dementia.

How is this manifested? The people of Chicago, and Illinois are not allowed to carry concealed weapons legally. Just like Washington DC, that other paradigm of a safe community, you just can’t do it. The criminals of course, don’t really care, as they and the local politicians are in each other’s pockets and hey, it’s business.

My advice is to allow the people, the law abiding people of Chicago and Illinois to be able to arm themselves and protect themselves. It’s a fundamental right and one that will be taken up by the Supreme Court. Until then, I have no advise for Chicagoans that is legal, except do what you have to do to protect yourself.

Until the SCOTUS decides this case, protect youself, and thank you for reading this blog.

A year after the attacks at The New Life Church, the victims are remembered. Thanks JR. Special thanks to Jeanne Assam. Who said the first and second amendments are not compatible?

Gun Control in India

leave a comment »

Could gun rights in India prevented the massacre? India has rather restrictive gun control, as does many socialized countries of the world, where some of the most heinous islamo-fascist terrorist attacks have occurred. Of course, the left wing socialist tree hugging soy swilling habitrail using weanies will want to pass more restrictive gun laws in India and elsewhere after this horrible act, in a continuing saga of doing the same thing but expecting different results. If one out of ten in that hotel had been armed, the results would have been different. Heck, if one in ten of the victims had been armed, many would still be alive. Thanks to John Lott for the video link.
